Powerful model of Zeta Gundam

A powerful model of the Zeta Gundam is displayed at the roadside station Kume no Sato, making it an irresistible spot for Gundam fans.

The Zeta Gundam model housed in a hangar on the campus, while touching on the story of its production by Shoichi Nakamoto and the background of its donation, is a must-see when visiting Kume no Sato.

The giant mobile suit, which is 7 meters tall, was created by Shoichi Nakamoto (born in 1964, 35 years old at the time of completion), a resident of Tsuyama City, who drew up the design himself and was the sole creator of the suit. It was completed in December 1999 (Heisei 11) after seven years of work, based on the concept of a bipedal manned general-purpose machine that allows a human to walk inside the cockpit and perform various tasks.

After graduating from a local technical high school, Mr. Nakamoto worked as an engineer at an automobile manufacturer, but he convinced his parents to let him create a mobile suit and returned to his hometown to continue his daily work. He seems to have continued to work on it in the meantime.
