Overview of “Jion Falls”

Jion Falls, which straddles Hita City and Kusu Town in Oita Prefecture, is located at the confluence of the Yamaura River and the Kusu River, which originate from Mannenyama.

The upper waterfall is 20 meters high and the lower waterfall is 10 meters high, and the drop is approximately 30 meters.

It is especially lit up at night, creating a magical atmosphere.

There is a promenade that allows access to the backside of the waterfall, and it is also known as ”Urami Falls“.

There are also stairs leading up to the upper basin of the waterfall, giving visitors the opportunity to enjoy the beauty of the waterfall from a variety of perspectives.
