Overview of “Kumano Nachi Taisha”

Kumano Nachi Taisha is a sacred place located in Wakayama Prefecture, and is registered as a UNESCO World Heritage Site as part of the Kumano Sanzan.

A combination of history and mystery, this shrine captivates visitors with its unique components and beautiful grounds.

The approach is followed by stairs. There are many shops and rest areas along the way, so take your time while stopping by.

The view from the top of the mountain is good, and you can even see Nachi Falls in the distance.

It is also one of the 33 places in Saigoku.

Nachi Falls

If you go further from Kumano Nachi Taisha, you will find “Nachi Waterfall”.

The height is 133m, the width of Choshiguchi is 13m, and the depth of the basin is 10m.

There is also a viewing stage called the Otakihaisho Butai where you can see the waterfall up close.
