This suspension bridge opened in 1977 as part of the Hirado Ohashi toll road, and was later opened to the public for free in 2010.

The bridge has a total length of 665m, with a distance of 465.4m between the main towers, and has a truss suspension bridge structure, spanning 30m above sea level.

Initially, construction proceeded as the main local road Hirato-Dahira Line, but during construction it was upgraded to National Route 383.
