“Izu Skyline” route
From the Takichiyama Observatory, it is a perfect photo spot where you can see all the way to the top of Mt. Fuji. Furthermore, it is a spot where you can enjoy the night view of Atami and Numazu at night.
At 720m, Gendake has the highest road elevation in the Izu Skyline.
The Gendake Parking Lot has an observation deck and is a view spot where you can see Mt. Fuji and Suruga Bay.
From the Nirayama Pass IC, it takes about 20 minutes to reach the Nirayama Reverberatory Furnace, one of the elements that make up the World Heritage Sites of Japan’s Meiji Industrial Revolution. Perfect as a spot.
There is Mt. Sukumo about 5 minutes from Kameishi Pass, and you can go back and forth from the parking lot to the summit of Mt. Sukumo in about 20 minutes.
Suruga Bay and Tagata Plains can be seen from the summit.
Depending on the weather, you can see Mt.Fuji and the Southern Alps in the distance.
Amagi Kogen IC at the end of the Izu Skyline. It takes about an hour from the Atami Pass tollgate. An exhilarating course that drives Izu Kogen continues from here.
