Rurikoin is a beautiful temple located in Kamikoya, Sakyo Ward, Kyoto City.

This temple exists as a branch temple of “Jodo Shinshu Muryojuzan Komyo-ji”, which has its main temple in Gifu City, and its principal image is Amida Nyorai.

Ruriko-in Temple was originally built as a villa, and has a Japanese garden and Sukiya-zukuri style building on a vast 12,000 tsubo site.

It should be noted that Rurikoin, which is normally closed to the public, is open to the public in spring, summer, and autumn.
