Overview and characteristics of “Yuuka no Sato”
“Yuka no Sato” is located in Kamiyama-cho, Meishi-gun, Tokushima Prefecture and is known as a famous spot for kamiyama weeping cherry blossoms.
This beautiful place offers a spectacular view with more than 300 weeping cherry and forsythia trees blooming all over the mountain.
Cherry blossoms bloom from late March to early April, and many visitors come to enjoy the beautiful cherry blossoms during this time.
The story behind “Yuka no Sato”
In Yuuka no Sato, there is a deep connection between “kamiyama weeping cherry blossoms” and sudachi cultivation, and the story is interesting.
In fact, in 2008, a person who used to grow sudachi here got three seedlings of weeping cherry trees from the Kamiyama Sakura Society, and that was the beginning of the mountain of cherry blossoms.
In response to this opportunity, a full-fledged effort was made to transform the sudachi field into a mountain of cherry blossoms, and in ten years it has grown splendidly.
“kamiyama weeping cherry blossoms” was certified as a new cultivar by the Japan Flower Association in 2021.
This cherry tree is loved by many people for its beauty and rarity.

Stop the motorcycle in the parking lot and look at it from a position where you can see the whole.
There is a free parking lot in front of Yuuka no Sato.
There was also a temporary parking lot in front.
Walk to the entrance. I found out later that it was the other way around.
However, it doesn’t matter which way you enter.
