About terrain
Aragishima is located on a tongue-shaped plateau that spreads inside the meander topography of the Arida River, and large and small paddy fields spread out in a stepped fan shape.

This scenery is considered to be one of the most beautiful rural areas in Japan, and has won the Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries Award.
