Itto-seki
“Ittō-seki” is located about 100 meters north of the shrine, and its unique feature is a huge granite rock measuring 8 meters long, 7 meters wide, and 2 meters high, with a diagonal straight split in the center.
According to legend, a swordsman named Nobutsuna Kamiizumi trained here for three years in swordsmanship with a tengu, and when he thought he won a battle, it was actually this rock.
Through this training, Sogon realized the secret of no sword and became the founder of Yagyu Shinkage-ryu. It is also said to be a motif in the story of “Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba.”
