It’s been a long time since I’ve been touring.
This time, we will depart from Osaka and aim for Tokushima in Shikoku via Awajishima! We will deliver the pattern.
Also, this time I took a video while driving for the first time. However, it was taken with an old camera, so it’s not something you can see…
Departure ~ Kyobashi Parking Area
Meeting ~ Departure 6:00
It’s the first touring in 2023. It was rare that everyone got together at the meeting time.
While preparing greetings and preparations, I look for unusual points from last year.
I changed the brake caliper to Brembo while repairing it. Hayabusa’s muffler has changed.
He insists that he has become a gentleman, but…
As usual, the intercom is connected … without saying anything. (thank you)
We will depart when we are ready. First, Kyobashi PA
Break at Kyobashi PA 7:15
It seems that one of the members wanted to go to the bathroom, and despite declaring it, “Even if it leaks, it will dry by Tokushima?” members will mess around with it (laughs).
While I was saying this, I was wondering if I should skip the Kyobashi PA until just before.
However, in the spirit of compassion, I took a restroom break.
Because it’s Gentle.
Kyobashi PA – Awaji SA
Depart Kyobashi PA, cross the Akashi Kaikyo Bridge and aim for Awaji SA.
Congestion is eliminated and the temperature is moderately smooth.
There are many attractions a little further from Kyobashi PA.
Meriken Bark Harborland on the left, Kawasaki Heavy Industries, Ltd.
Kobe Headquarters on the right, Port Tower and Harborland Wakamiya Curve on the left, and the Suma Toll Gate. The Suma tollgate used to be a famous spot for traffic congestion, but due to the spread of ETC, the direct connection between the Sanyo Expressway, the Hanshin Expressway No. 7 Kita-Kobe Line and the Chugoku Expressway, and the opening of the Hanshin Expressway No. 31 Kobe Yamanote Line, traffic congestion has disappeared. rice field.
Akashi Kaikyo Bridge (a bridge connecting Honshu and Awaji Island in Japan)
Once you get out of the tunnel, it suddenly becomes brighter, the sky clears, and you can see the ocean far into the distance while riding the Akashi Kaikyo Bridge.
With a total length of 3,911 m and a central span of 1,991 m, construction took 10 years to complete.
Awaji Service Area 7:50
Arrived at Awaji SA. It is a popular service area with a Ferris wheel.
Despite the early hours, the parking lot was already full. And then cars come in. It can get quite busy during the day.
However, it hasn’t been long since the break earlier, and I want to arrive before the time when the seafood bowl shops are crowded, so I will leave early.
From here, enter the lower road and follow the eastern route.
Awajishima Awaji Service Area – Awajishima Minami IC (general road east route)
Route 28
Drive along Route 28.
On the way, you will enter the inside of the island, so turn left at Takenokuchikita and enter Prefectural Route 76.
Prefectural Route 76 (Minamiawaji Narcissus Line)
There was a small castle on top of the mountain.
It seems to be Sumoto Castle.
Drive along the coastal road (Minamiawaji Narcissus Line).
There is Mysterious Paradise, Ikiri Point, and Awaji Monkey Center.
A deer suddenly crossed the road.
Arrival at Ikiri Point 9:10
I arrived at the point where the members were cool when I visited last time.
I took a picture of the helmets side by side in a place overlooking the sea.
That’s the featured image on this page.
Tokushima: Awajishima Minami IC – Tokushima
From Honshu, cross Awaji Island, cross the sea again, and enter Tokushima Prefecture in Shikoku.
Onaruto Bridge
The length of the bridge is 1,629 meters. I was able to see the famous whirlpools for the first time from the bridge.
The tidal currents in the Naruto Strait are as fast as 20 km per hour, and the topography of the ocean floor is also a contributing factor to the appearance of whirlpools.
Roadside Station Kuru Kururu Nagato
Around 10:30, I arrived at Roadside Station Kururukunato.
In order to eat the “Kaisen zekkei don(seafood rice bowl)” I’m looking for, I’m fasting from the morning.
The members are bullish, saying, “I’m going to eat a lot today.”
I parked in a parking space for two wheels.
It seems to be a very popular spot and many cars have already stopped.
Looking left from the two-wheel parking lot, there was a space where children could play.
Playing with a sled on artificial grass.
There was a Tarzan rope on it, but no one was using it. Maybe I can’t use it yet?
There is a large monument of Naruto Kintoki at the front entrance of “Roadside Station Kururukunato”.
*Naruto Kintoki is a type of sweet potato.
Here is a poster of the famous seafood bowl. The total weight is 2kg.
Seafood superb view bowl is a system to order with a meal ticket.
The members who were bullish until a while ago will be able to shake their confidence after actually ordering.
It was carried while beating drums! And two at the same time. Spectacular view.
It’s time to eat! good! ! I was hungry, so I used chopsticks. It consists of three stages, and the amount of rice is quite large. I ate it with dashi soup on the way, but this is also delicious! I can go with just rice and soup.
I ate it safely. It was supposed to serve 4 to 5 people, but it was enough for 3 adult men to fill them up.
Yuuka no Sato
When I passed through the mountain corner, I was overwhelmed by the weeping cherry blossoms that suddenly jumped into my field of vision.
I’ve been watching cherry blossoms for decades, so I’m not surprised by a little bit… sorry. I licked it. This place is amazing!
As the temperature rose, I went to the seller to try iced coffee, but to my surprise, the iced coffee was sold out.
I gave up crying. The touring will return from here.
Ferry (Tokushima – Wakayama)
On the way back, it seems good to take a ferry from Tokushima via Wakayama.
Awaji Island again (general road west route)
west route
On the way back, we will run on the west side along the Awaichi (Awaji Island cycling route) and the Awaji Sunset Line.
Over the past few years, it has become a notable spot where fashionable shops have opened one after another. I regret that I should have taken a video.

Road Station Awaji
Halfway around Awaji Island, this is the last resting spot in Awaji.
I personally like it more than the Awaji Service Area on the “Roadside Station Awaji” highway under the Akashi Kaikyo Bridge.
There is also a fairly large green area that children will love.
The contrast with the huge building in the back is indescribably powerful.
It is also a spot where you can see the Akashi Kaikyo Bridge from directly below.
I think the night view is also beautiful.
An eccentric menu in which a whole onion is fried (*note: manager doesn’t like onions)
It looks delicious.
Roadside Station Awaji – Osaka
After that, cross the Akashi Kaikyo Bridge again to Honshu.
From around Minatogawa to around Maya, I was able to run at a reasonable pace despite the congestion.
Arrived in Osaka and this touring ended successfully. good job for today!
