Overview of Sanyo Expressway Shinkansen
The Sanyo Shinkansen is a high-speed railway line operated by JR West that connects Shin-Osaka to Hakata.
This Shinkansen opened between Shin-Osaka Station and Okayama Station in 1972, and in 1975 between Okayama Station and Hakata Station.
The Sanyo Shinkansen was built as an extension of the Tokaido Shinkansen, connecting Japan’s railway network more widely.
