Odaigahara has been selected as one of Japan’s 100 Famous Mountains, 100 Views of Japan, and 100 Unexplored Regions of Japan.
In order to enjoy Odaigahara, there is a climbing course that starts from the visitor center.
In the touring, it was up to the parking lot, but you can enjoy a superb view at a good vantage point on the way.
It is a mountain with an altitude of 1,695 meters located on the border of Nara Prefecture and Mie Prefecture.
It was selected as one of Japan’s 100 Famous Mountains by mountain climber Kyuya Fukada.
It is also known for its high rainfall during the typhoon season, when winds containing moisture from the Pacific Ocean blow up due to the topography.
Odaigahara Driveway
It is a winding road with a total length of about 20km.
The view is the best because you can run a considerable altitude!
There seems to be a lot of fog and wild animals, so you need to be careful about the weather and driving.
Review
Mountaintop? has a large parking lot.
During the season, this place is also full, and the road leading to here is lined with parked vehicles.
▲Many people enter the mountain from here and enjoy trekking.
Since we were touring, we only used the restroom for a while. After resting, we descended.
▲A view from a slightly opened place on the way down.
The mountains are lined up and the scenery is magnificent.
It may be chilly even in the summer on a motorcycle and you may need to take measures against the cold.
The relationship between altitude and temperature is explained in the article below.
